With an elegant yet highly functional design the ÆRA No. 1 hubs are the perfect choice for your bespoke build and are available in three hard wearing colour options.

Bearings

We use only the highest quality bearing across our entire range of products. Our No. 1 hubs come with stainless steel bearings as standard, however ceramic bearings are also available on request. Ceramic bearings have higher strength and the increased hardness of the bearings will give a longer lifespan and superior corrosion resistance. The bearings also get faster with use.

The Devil Is In the Detail

The ÆRA No. 1 is a four-season hub that is designed and manufactured in the UK, home to some of the most demanding riding conditions. Combining style and durability in equal measure, the No. 1 hub is the ultimate bespoke build upgrade.

We use 28 spokes both front and back for added strength over mixed terrain. Our spoke holes are countersunk to allow the head of a Sapim CX-Ray spoke to sit flush to the surface of the flange, optimising aerodynamics and aesthetics.

Colours & Finishes

The hub colour can be chosen to compliment any bike build. We offer the ÆRA No. 1 hub in anodised Brevet Black or Baroudeur Blue finish or with an extra tough Brevet black ceramic coating featuring a gold Æ logo. Bespoke finishes are also available on request.

Freehub

You can specify your hubs to be compatible with Shimano/SRAM HG, SRAM XD or XDR. We use a 4 pawl design that provides you with 108 points of engagement, giving instantaneous acceleration.

  • To extend the life of your bearings regular maintenance is essential

  • Clean and repack grease every 2000 miles or every six months to a year

  • Inspect regularly to ensure ideal conditions are maintained
